The 2012 Uniteen summer retreat, "We Are The Journey", will take place from June 17th to June 22th. The focus in experiencing our journey is the use of Cispus Challenge Course (a ropes course), journey-based Unity curriculum and creating a mindful trust culture within our community. One of the challenges in life is in remembrance of and engaging God within and all around.
The challenge course, with its emphasis on the individual and group problem solving, approaching conundrums and conflict while stepping into one's growth zone provides a unique opportunity for supporting growth, awareness, & self responsibility to all connections we experience in life. Camp Cispus is a beautiful outdoor setting. It provides an excellent space for games, meditation, water play, and campfire circles. Creative expressions are present throughout the camp experience.
Unity of Beaverton YOUTH ED is hosting our multi-generational 2nd Annual All Church Campout during the 3rd weekend of July at Silver Falls State Park, Oregon (approximately 45 miles east of Salem). We've reserved two (2) group tent campsites and one (1) RV group site (new this year).
This multi-generational, three-day event will offer fun, exciting & relaxing opportunities for individuals, families and small groups. In addition, Silver Falls State Park offers a wide variety of activities, including hiking, biking, swimming, and nature discovery. An outdoor Sunday church service will be held at the park for both campers and congregants who attend for all, including those who join us only for the day Sunday, July 22nd.
